FrontRange Remote is critical to reducing the help desk workload and ensuring that users experiencing problems are returned to full productivity as quickly as possible.  The application enables authorized IT staff to access and control all systems on the network, from laptops and desktops to user-free devices such kiosk or CNC machines.

Bandwidth optimization makes FrontRange Remote the ideal choice for organizations with a dispersed network, comprising small branch offices or home workers.

Single-click access

Just one mouse click is all it takes for a service desk or support operative to connect to the end user’s device.  Target PCs do not even require the installation of a client agent to enable full access and control over the mouse and keyboard.

To ensure security, a role-based authorization model controls access to sensitive systems and prevents misuse.

Once connected, the operative has direct access to the full hardware, software and configuration information on the target machine.  A chat function helps guide users and thanks to high-performance data transfer, even complex (such as CAD or java-based) applications can be navigated with ease.

Shared control of target machines

FrontRange Remote allows both the support staff and end user to share control of the desktop, helping to more quickly highlight and remediate issues. All keyboard shortcuts and PC control functions (such as restart) are available to the remote user.  The same level of control is even available to user-free systems such as Citrix XenApp sessions.

Protection of sensitive data

FrontRange Remote uses 256-bit encryption to secure the connection between host and master.  This ensures the security and integrity of all data transfers, even when target PCs are outside the corporate network.

The end user can decide which areas are visible by remote access in compliance with work regulations.
